On the night because of a bit of a breakdown in communication we had some confusion around tables/placecards. Our wedding was in July in the heart of summer and the scenery was so gorgeous - I highly recommend using the boathouse for late spring - early fall weddings, since in the colder months it gets dark earlier and you cannot get the beautiful views you get in the warmer months. Our guests are still making comments to us on how fantastic everything was. Harold the maitre 'd was simply outstanding. Everything about this venue was perfect- from the incredible food, to the classic NYC atmosphere/location, to the professional service. It was as amazing as we imagined it would be, and more. Plus, being an interfaith couple -- combined with not wanting to make our guests schlep around the city -- meant that we wanted to have the ceremony and reception in the same location.
